Arizona Summer Tour Day 4: Practice, Youth Clinic & Dead Sea

It was yet another busy day for the Wildcats as they spent the last day in Jerusalem getting in an early morning practice, holding a youth clinic and visiting the Dead Sea before trekking on to Tel Aviv.

The team was up early and made its way over to the practice gym of Haopel Jerusalem for a workman-like practice in preparation for Monday's game against Israel Select. When the practice was over, a group of young kids of all ages came down onto the court for a 45-minute clinic. During the clinic, each and every Arizona player was put into a group with the youngsters and they went through shooting competitions and ball handling drills. The highlight of this segment was Jaden Bradley making a half court shot to win his competition.

When the clinic was done, the youth spent time interacting with the Wildcats on a personal level, playing some of them one-on-one or challenging them to another shooting contest before everyone posed for a group photo. The smiles on the kids faces said it all, it was an experience they won't soon forget.

After a quick stop back at the team hotel to pack up and check out, the group was back on the bus for a 90-minute drive to the Dead Sea. Although its technically now a lake and with the "feels like" temperature soaring past 120 degrees, the group was eager to experience the lowest elevation on Earth at over 1,000 feet below sea level. The water was very warm and the sand on the beach was even hotter, but the experience of floating on top of the water with no effort put a smile on everyone's face. The stay in the Dead Sea was brief due to the temperatures, but the team spent some time in the pool of a local resort before hopping back on the bus to drive to Tel Aviv.

Fans will get their first opportunity to see the 2023-24 Wildcats in action on Monday, Aug. 14 at 7:00 p.m. local time in Israel (9:00 a.m. Pacific Time). For those that are able to attend in person, tickets are free, but are first come, first served and should be requested online at this link.

The game is expected to be live streamed on the Arizona Athletics YouTube page, but details are still being ironed out. Please check @ArizonaMBB on TwitterInstagram and Facebook or online at arizonawildcats.com/SummerTour for the most up-to-date content from the trip including how to watch each of the three scheduled games.
