To round out the final full day of activities on the trip, it was game day for the Wildcats against the strongest competition to day – the senior national team from Lebanon.

After watching Team USA play at Etihad Arena the night before, on Saturday is was the Wildcats that took center stage on the main court. The fans from Lebanon outnumbered Arizona but former Wildcat Steve Kerr was in attendance along with Grant Hill from USA Basketball.

The game saw both teams get off to a slow start, but after the first quarter it was the Wildcats on top by seven. In the second quarter, Arizona continued to extend the lead and went into the locker room with a 14-point lead.

In the third quarter, the Wildcats defense and pace of play put the pressure on Lebanon and Arizona saw its lead balloon to as much as 23 before heading to the final period with a 19-point edge.

When Lebanon cut the Arizona lead to just eight with less than two minutes left, Keshad Johnson drained a 3-pointer from the top of the key to push the lead back to double figures and secure the win.

Pelle Larsson led Arizona with 17 points, including 8 of 8 at the free throw line, to go along with six rebounds. Johnson finished with 14 points and seven rebounds while Caleb Love added 13 points and KJ Lewis had 12 points.

Following the game, the travel party bussed to Dubai for a departure just after midnight to begin the 26 hours of travel to return to Phoenix late Sunday afternoon.
